Pre-Orders and Back Orders
Pre-Order & Back-Order Policy (Out-of-Stock Items)
TL/DR: Pre-orders and back-orders allow you to reserve your spot in the production queue. If you cancel after that reservation is made but processing has not started, you can be refunded 50% of your deposit. After the product starts, your deposit is non-refundable - because we’ve already started building your gear.
What counts as a pre-order vs. back-order
- Pre-order: New product or next production run that hasn’t landed yet. An ETA window is shown on the product page.
- Back-order: Ongoing product that’s temporarily out of stock with an ETA window shown on the product page.
Payment & deposit
- A 100% deposit at checkout is required to reserve your unit(s) and your place in line.
Cancellations & changes
- 24-hour grace period: Cancel within 24 hours of placing your order → full refund of the deposit.
- After 24 hours: Cancel anytime before manufacturing begins → the 50% deposit is forfeited (non-refundable).
- Address changes / split shipments / color changes: Possible before the order enters final packing; may incur additional shipping/handling.
- Refusing delivery is treated as a cancellation after shipment and will incur round-trip shipping plus a processing fee; the deposit remains non-refundable.
ETAs, delays & updates
- ETAs are best estimates based on production and freight. If an ETA shifts, we’ll email updates.
Price locks
- Your pre-/back-order price is locked at checkout—even if pricing changes later.
Warranty & returns
- Once delivered, the normal warranty applies.
Why we do it this way:
Reserving steel, coatings, machining, and freight for heavy equipment isn’t a “click-undo” situation. Your deposit funds real work (and real metal), so we keep it if you cancel after we’ve locked things in. It’s not a gotcha; it’s how we keep quality high and lead times honest.
